Presents Time & Space - A Tribute to Yasunori Mitsuda (Composer
for Squaresoft, composed the music for Chrono Cross, Chrono
Trigger, and many other games).
This album, filled with reinterpretations
of some of his finer pieces, goes out as an attempt to showcase
the beauty capable within electronic scores. By rearranging
the music for a variety of instrumentation, both live and
synthesized, and in a wide range of styles, the people at
OneUp Studios have tried to follow the composer's original
intent as closely as possible while still adding their own
creativity to the mix.
Bjorn Lynne's notes: The first
time I heard this CD, I knew that I had to share it with
other people. It has become my most played album in the
past few weeks, almost constantly on while I'm working at
my PC. It is an album of beautiful melodies, and each track
is produced in different arrangements, from soft classical
to adventure style, rock guitar, electronic, live band sound,
etc. You can listen to the whole album from beginning till
end and feel like you are taken on a wonderful journey through
magical worlds. In some ways, this album reminds me a little
of the Merregnon album, or
even my own Return to Witchwood
album.
I really must give my warmest
recommendations for this album, which has now become one
of my favourite CDs of all time! And I'm not just because
of it's background, but simply and purely for the music
itself. I'm really happy that I discovered this CD. Once
you've heard it a couple of times, you'll know what I'm
talking about.
